Finding Fabrics for our Lolli Ladies Golf Clothes

Lolli Wear Golf Wear - the search for fabricsFinding fun and bright fabrics for our Lolli Ladies Golf Clothes has been quite a challenge at times. I commenced having the clothes made in Indonesia and the first problem was the language barrier. Where do I start to find fabrics in a country where I can’t communicate in their language?

Once I eventually found a large fabric store and the fabric markets, how do I explain to them about the type of fabrics I actually do want.

The fabric markets are the most interesting, and to start with, more challenging. There are several streets of little shops selling fabrics. As I wandered along trying to find stretchy fabrics every store owner claimed to have stretchy fabrics and I would wander into their little stores only to find fabrics that would be best used for tablecloths, especially if you wanted that freshly starched cardboard look for your tablecloth.

Lolliwear ladies golf fashion

lolli-wear-logoLolliwear is a ladies golf fashion brand, I’m always asked where the name Lolli comes from and the answer is quite simple, it’s me!

It wasn’t until my late 20’s that anyone shortened my name or called me any derivative of my name, just quietly, I disliked the most frequent name, Loz or Lozza, but just went along with it.

There were 2 friends who quite independently started calling me Lolli and I didn’t mind this name at all, in fact I quite liked being called Lolli. It sounded softer and sweeter than any other name but it never spread any further.

Caroline and Jade were always calling me Lolli and they still do.  Jade’s two sons only know me as Lolli, I don’t think they even know my name is Lauryn.

So that’s why I chose to call my brand Lolli, it represents me without being labelled with my name.

I do get called Lolli a bit more these days, now for obvious reasons.

I hope you enjoy my range of ladies golf fashion, Lolli.
